Hills joins White Ribbon to stop violence against women

Hills, one of Australia’s most iconic companies is proud to join the global effort to end violence against women.

Hills is the key sponsor at this year’s White Ribbon Parliament House Breakfast in Canberra which aims to put violence against women on the national agenda.

Hills CEO Ted Pretty said companies like Hills have an important role to play in stopping violence against women by creating workplaces where violence is never tolerated.

“Two thirds of women who experience domestic and family violence are in paid work. Companies can’t ignore domestic violence when its prevalence is so well known and there are so many resources to assist them if their employees are involved in any way,” he said.

“Hills is proud to sign onto the campaign to violence-proof our workplace. Next year, we will be increasing our support of White Ribbon by providing financial support for Ambassador’s program and the important research the foundation carries out.”

Hills staff across Australia will be taking part in fundraising activities and morning tea to mark White Ribbon Day.
