World first: Instacube released in Australia in time for Mother’s Day

Australian Instagram users will be the first in the world to get their hands on the new Instacube thanks to an exclusive distribution agreement between Hills Limited and Instacube’s inventor NuMatter.

The Kickstarter funded Instacube reinvents the digital photo frame and allows Instagram users to stream a live feed of photos and video clips from friends, family and others.

“The Instacube is perfect for passionate Instagram users who want to bring their favourite photos into their homes,” Hills Limited’s Chief of Home and Consumer Matt Campbell said.

Instagram is the fastest growing social media platform in Australia, with over one million followers.

“Photos are streamed in real-time, wirelessly and at three times the viewing size of the average smart phone. This means that photos can be enjoyed as soon as they are captured and appreciated in full scale.

“Having arrived just in time for Mother’s Day, the Instacube is the perfect present for gadget savvy mums.

“Photos are displayed front and centre with photo comments and likes easily accessible with just a swipe of the finger. What’s more a dedicated heart button for likes makes the Instagram experience even more fun.

“Australians have embraced Instagram and the ease of editing and filtering their photos. Hills is delighted that Australian users will be the first in the world to stream their favourite photos in the home.”

The Instacube is simple and easy to use – simply plug the cube into the wall and connect to WiFi.

The Instacube is available through The Good Guys – – and Recommended retail price $219.

As units hit the retail market through Hills Limited, Kickstarter supporters continue to receive fulfillment as inventory becomes available worldwide.
